Music to enjoy whilst driving to dispose of the body…

Dread words from The Wire Magazine.

It’s Joseph Stannard’s “Black Mill Tapes Vol.1” review:

It’s also featured in their Office Ambience chart, streamable here.

*we would like to assure you there are no bodies in The Head Technician’s car boot…not lately, anyway.

  1. I read this review yesterday and am still trying to figure out what album Stannard was listening to. This album is bleak? It’s frightening? It’s NOT jaunty? If that’s what he thinks of the album, then he obviously ignored “We Have Visitors” and “Electronic Rhythm Number Three” and “Electronic Rhythm Number Eight”–three very jaunty tunes (to me) that are far too funky to be bleak (eerie yes–but not bleak).

  2. Hard to recognise the album I know and love in this review… An extreme illustration, perhaps, of the fact that no two people hear things exactly the same. I definitely hear soundtrackiness in Black Mill Tapes Vol. 1, but no mass murder or “evil”…
